A4Proxy works fine with modem connections, including AOL. There is one thing, however: AOL’s own web browser, which you use to dial their server and connect to the Internet, does not provide certain features required by A4Proxy, so you will need to install an additional web browser on your computer and configure it for use with A4proxy. As the result, you will have two browsers running at the same time: one is AOL’s, which you will use to connect to the Internet, and the other one, which you will use for anonymous surfing.
